Mr. Jan Paul Sparmann works in the knee and shoulder section of the MVZ Restart-Ortho in Berlin-Zehlendorf.

Mr. Sparmann completed his studies in human medicine at the University of Regensburg and at the Charité Berlin. He began his medical career in 2012 in the DRK Kliniken Westend in the Department of Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery under the direction of Dr. med. Thilo John.

In the further course of his career, he completed an 18-month rotation in the Joint and Spine Center Steglitz (GWZ) under Dr. med. Laute and Dr. med. Görner, where the foundation for arthroscopic and sports medicine activities was laid.

After obtaining his specialist qualification in orthopedics and trauma surgery in 2018, Mr. Sparmann worked as a senior physician at the DRK Kliniken Westend from 2018 to 2024. Here he headed the arthroscopic and sports medicine department with a focus on joint-preserving therapy of the shoulder joint, knee joint and ankle joint. He was also fully active as a trauma surgeon and completed the additional qualification “special trauma surgery” in 2024. In addition to regular consultation hours, Mr. Sparmann also worked as a D-doctor representative.

Mr. Sparmann focuses on the goal of complete restoration and freedom from pain both after traumatic injuries to the joints and in the case of degenerative internal joint damage. With his expertise, he selects a holistic therapy concept consisting of conservative therapy and, if necessary, gentle surgical therapy as well as post-operative accompanying measures.
