Profile

Felix Opitz-Maciuga is the head of conservative orthopedics at MVZ Restart-Ortho

at Leonorenstraße 96-98, 12247 Berlin Lankwitz.

From October 1, 2025 at Berliner Straße 1, 14169 Berlin Zehlendorf.

Following his competitive sports career at the Olympic Training Center in Potsdam, he studied human medicine at the Hannover Medical School (MHH) and completed a 5-year training program at the Robert Koch Hospital in Gehrden. Under Chief Physician Dr. med. J. Uffmann, Mr. Opitz-Maciuga gained experience in the acute treatment of trauma surgery and orthopedic patients. Even at this time, he oriented himself in the conservative direction, initially through manual medicine/chiropractic.

During his subsequent 4-year training at the “Orthopädie Zentrum Hannover” and at the Sophienklinik Hannover, Mr. Opitz-Maciuga specialized in fascial therapy according to the Typaldos principle (FDM according to Typaldos). He treated thousands of patients according to this principle and became part of the network for fascial therapy. He continuously educates himself in this field (including FDM in sports, David Struzik).

From 2023-2024, MedCenter 360° in Berlin Steglitz under the medical director Dr. med. Volker Laute became his professional home and he expanded his knowledge through assistances of the conscientious and thorough neurosurgeon Dr. med. Frank Zeilinger and the shoulder specialist Dr. med. Damian Görner.

In 2024, he established his practice in Leonorenstraße in Berlin Lankwitz. Since 2025, he has been running an orthopedic practice with a regenerative approach and patient-oriented focus together with Dr. med. Nils Marschalek.

Mr. Opitz-Maciuga developed a particular dedication to treatment with the Fascial Distortion Model according to Typaldos (FDM). In this method, body language, verbal expressions and, above all, the patient’s individual perception of the complaints are used as a diagnostic tool in order to then immediately correct the various disorders in the patient’s tissue with targeted manual techniques. The result is improvements in strength, coordination, range of motion and pain relief.

In the overall concept, the patient’s personal responsibility (nutrition, exercise, regeneration) is an integral part.

Inflammatory and degenerative diseases of joints and tendon tissue are, if indicated, also addressed by means of Axomera therapy, shock wave treatment or targeted injections with the body’s own agents (autologous blood treatment = PRP, APC, ACS), or hyaluronan preparations.
